There are new and emerging micro-organisms which are causing a threat to the health of people, plus the increased use of invasive procedures, hospital stay, misuse of antibiotics, etc., the nosocomial infections are rising. Certain organisms do very well to survive in a hospital environment plus the movement of people who act as carriers or transmitting agents increase the bandwidth of contracting infections.
